Briefly pasal fyp aku nye macam ni... 316L Austenitic Stainless Steel ni dah bnyk reseasrcher yg buat study pasal nitriding. tapi most of them at lower temperature which is below 600 degree C. but for my project, the nitriding process will be conducted at high temperature (1000 - 1250 degree C). Then the fatigue resistance after nitriding will be analysed. So nak tak samada fatigue resistance material tu increase ke tak lps high temperture nitriding.
For those yg tak tau nitriding tu ape, let me explain a little bit. Nitriding is a process where the nitrogen ion is diffused into material grain to form nitrided layer. Nitriding is one of the surface treatment to increase hardness, wear resistance and also fatigue resistance of material.
So far ape yg aku dah buat
- analyse microstucture for austenitic stainless steel before nnitriding using optical microscope and SEM.
- study the standard for fatigue testing which is ASME 446
- hardness test (Vicker's Microhardness)
- perform nitriding process
- perform fatigue test (both for nitrided and unnitrided ASS)
- Microstructure analysis

menarik ke? boleh la tahan susahnye~~~ SV aku suruh masok edx next sem. abes la aku!!!
name pjg kire menarik la tuh.. aku wat design.. lagi la selop..3 kali doh tukar design..penin sero
